These two statements guide BILD's project development. The first statement shows that our projects must produce genuine, tangible and practical results in order for people to believe, truly participate and invest in our projects. The second statement warns against the traditional model of straight charity and its propensity to cause a debilitating dependency syndrome. Therefore, inherent in all of our projects is local investment of either time or resources while all of our projects produce results that that citizens can feel, touch, see or experience.

Education Projects

Our education projects serve our core mission of empowering people to create a future for themselves in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Hence, our programs teach practical skills that help people succeed in their academic, business, and civic careers focusing on skills and knowledge that are especially needed in contemporary Bosnian society. Development Projects

Our development projects provide both material investments that support sustainable income-generating activities and the means for developing the human and social capital, the honest, productive relationships that are necessary for truly sustainable and successful enterprises. Civic Engagement

BILD promotes civic engagement through its organization of young adults called „OPEN“ which has members from age 18 to 27 with the mission of creating jobs, promoting human rights, and improving the quality of life in the Tuzla Canton. Learn more about OPEN here.

Goodwill Projects

Our goodwill projects are donor-driven and focus on children especially those from disadvantaged circumstances. With private donor funds, we have delivered care packages to orphans, helped build a barn for a landmine victim, and helped rebuild an elementary school for families returning to their pre-war homes.
