Message from the Director

While it sounds cliche, it is unmistakably true for us here at BILD and at our sponsor organization SEEDS that your contribution does make a difference. The lifeblood of this effort has been and will always be the spirit of private donors and volunteers who make daily, monthly, or yearly contributions of time and resources. The sum total of these private donations and volunteerism is decades of helping 100's of people in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Read below how you with your time and resources can join us and make a difference.

For those in a position to make a major gift or grant to this effort, please consider that through this organization's 15 years of experience on the ground in Bosnia, we know what it takes to succeed in the difficult terrain of Bosnian society and politics. We know how to make a difference and we have strategic plans to do so. A major grant will help us take this effort to a whole new level which is especially needed given the crisis that Bosnia is now facing.

To make the greatest difference, to begin the process of bringing portions of the Balkans into lasting peace, we need both the private donations and volunteerism that sustain us, and we need one-time major gifts so that we can establish new self-sustaining programs designed to make a regional impact on the peace process.

Christopher Bragdon

Executive Director

Help Arrange Speaking Engagements

BILD's Executive Director travels throughout the northeast from Washington to Boston each year garnering support for BILD projects, especially the Tuzla Summer Institute. Please help us arrange speaking engagements at universities, colleges, and community organizations interested in service projects such as churches and Rotary Clubs.

Residential Fellowships

While not everyone has $1,000 to donate or a grant organization to represent, you can help us save 100's of dollars for Bosnia projects by hosting Christopher Bragdon while he travels the northeast each year raising support for Bosnia projects. A residential fellowship lasts usually 2 or 3 days and consists of providing a bed, meals, and encouragement.

Speaking Engagements and Residential Fellowship are most needed in the following cities between September and April each year:

  • New York, NY
  • Boston, Ma
  • Amherst, Ma
