Goodwill Projects
Our goodwill projects are donor-driven and focus on children especially those from disadvantaged circumstances. Our goodwill projects range in value from $100 to $10,000. With private donor funds, we have delivered care packages to orphans, helped build a barn for a landmine victim, and helped rebuild an elementary school for families returning to their pre-war homes.
Building an Elementary School in Nova Kasaba
With private donations from soldiers, friends, and families of US peacekeepers and with volunteerism from the local community, BILD helped rebuild and furnish an elementary school in northeastern Bosnia thereby helping families return to their pre-war homes. The children attending the school are from different cultural backgrounds with a teacher who celebrates at their school everyone's holidays. Learn More »
Carepackages for Children in eastern Bosnia
With private donations, BILD delivers care packages to disadvantaged children in eastern Bosnia: children at the Zvornik orphanage, children at the women's associations supporting families returning to their pre-war homes and children at elementary schools in impoverished areas of eastern Bosnia. We make sure that each child receives the same care package and foster friendship while sharing these gifts. Learn More »
Helping a Landmine Victim and his Family
Since 2005, BILD has been helping a family regain their livelihood and educate their children after their father Vejsil Kapić was blinded and maimed by a landmine blast while collecting firewood near a previous frontline. BILD has helped with building a barn, providing livestock, and providing school supplies for their children including a computer delivered at the beginning of the 2010-2011 academic year. Learn More »
