Civic Engagement
Through our relationships with members of associate organizations, members of the international community, and through our organization of young adults called „OPEN“, BILD encourages civic engagement. The initiatives we support range from empowering young adults to improving security for vulnerable minority populations.
OPEN – an organization of motivated young adults
With support from the Soros Foundation and through the Tuzla Summer Institute, BILD has established a new organization of young adults. With members from age 18 to 27, their mission is to create jobs, promote human rights, and improve the quality of life in the Tuzla Canton. Security Solutions – creative solutions for minority populations
When working in the field, especially in eastern Bosnia from Zvornik south to Srebrenica, BILD staff have learned of threats to the security and well-being of members of the minority population.
